About the Role
A Business Analyst position is open to an experienced professional to serve as a liaison between business objectives and technology implementation within enterprise-wide digital transformation projects. This role involves deep engagement with stakeholders, comprehensive process analysis, requirements definition, and aiding delivery teams in creating solutions that are user-centered, actionable, and measurable.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp their goals, pain points, operational processes, and targeted outcomes.
- Design and lead discovery sessions, interviews, process walkthroughs, and requirements gathering workshops.
- Collect, analyze, specify, verify, and maintain various types of requirements including business, functional, and non-functional.
- Prepare detailed business requirements documentation, develop user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and map processes with supporting analysis.
- Convert business needs into unambiguous, verifiable requirements for technical and delivery teams.
- Conduct analyses of current and future states, identify gaps, assess impacts, and drive process enhancements.
- Work in partnership with Product Owners to prioritize and refine product backlogs aligned with business value and dependencies.
- Coordinate with Technical Leads and Solution Architects to validate technical feasibility and ensure alignment with the envisioned solution.
- Support activities related to UX and service design by outlining user needs, journeys, personas, challenges, and desired results.
- Maintain traceability of requirements and oversee changes concerning scope, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams on test scenario reviews, assist user acceptance testing, and ensure functional delivery meets expectations.
- Facilitate release preparedness, stakeholder communication, training contributions, operational transition, and conduct post-implementation assessments.
- Identify and escalate business risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities through governance processes.
- Develop clear presentations, status reports, dashboards, and decision-making materials for stakeholders and projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Over five years of business analysis experience in digital transformation, application development, or large-scale technology programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing requirements throughout their lifecycle.
- Competence in crafting user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process workflows, business rules, and traceability matrices.
- Practical knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Good understanding of system integrations, RESTful APIs, data flows, user interfaces, and enterprise application frameworks.
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing, clarifying defects, preparing for release readiness, and ensuring formal business acceptance.
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office suite, and collaboration software.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, facilitation skills, and clear documentation expertise.
- Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to address both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, work independently, and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Credentials
- Experience working with government digital services, customer portals, mobile applications, or broad service transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, CRM systems, workflow automation, and integration-driven solutions.
- Skills in data analysis, reporting, dashboard creation, or business intelligence tools.
- Understanding of business process management, service design, change management, and realization of benefits.
- Professional certifications such as IIBA CBAP/CCBA, PMI-PBA, BCS Business Analysis, or Scrum Product Owner credentials.
