Role Overview
We are seeking a Pursuit Manager to spearhead the transformation of how we secure new business in Australia. This pivotal leadership position involves strategic planning and positioning to capture key opportunities before they reach the market. The successful candidate will guide teams, foster winning strategies, and cultivate a culture focused on achievement and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead early pursuit planning alongside business leaders to identify and position priority opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops, strategy sessions, and client discussions to shape winning proposals.
- Coach teams on competitive positioning, persuasive value propositions, and effective win themes.
- Provide strategic counsel on pursuit selection and participate in bid/no-bid decision-making processes.
- Manage major and complex pursuits from strategy development through submission.
- Ensure alignment between client insights and proposal execution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to pursuit leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Confidently lead kickoff meetings, storyboard sessions, reviews, and rehearsal presentations.
- Influence stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to rally behind clear win strategies.
- Elevate organizational capabilities through coaching and dissemination of best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 15 years of experience in pursuit management and proposal development, preferably within professional services or B2B sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in guiding complex proposals and shaping effective win strategies.
- Strong background in pursuit planning and early client engagement.
- Exceptional facilitation skills, adept at leading workshops with senior leaders.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to operate effectively at both strategic and detailed levels.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong drive to win.
