Proxy & Email Security Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Proxy & Email Security Engineer to oversee the management of secure web proxy, web filtering, and email security gateway technologies. The role focuses on ensuring safe and dependable access to internet and email communication services.

Key Duties

• Configure and administer secure web proxy and content filtering systems.
• Enforce URL filtering, access control policies, and internet security mechanisms.
• Set up and maintain email security gateway infrastructure.
• Handle email filtering processes, including anti-spam and anti-malware defenses along with enforcing security policies.
• Continuously monitor and resolve proxy and email security related incidents.
• Diagnose issues related to blocked websites, email transmission failures, and security events.
• Implement policy updates, perform system upgrades, and maintain system health.
• Assist in security investigations and incident troubleshooting.
• Keep thorough documentation of systems and operational procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working with proxy, web, or email security technologies.
• Hands-on expertise managing enterprise-grade web proxy and email security platforms.
• Strong foundational knowledge of protocols and technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP, and network security principles.
• Proficient in email security concepts, including filtering, anti-spam, and anti-malware tools.
• Preferred certifications include Zscaler, Cisco Secure Email, Microsoft Security, or any vendor-specific proxy/email security credentials.
