MDM / VDI Engineer

Overview

We seek a skilled MDM / VDI Engineer (Level 2) responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's virtual desktop infrastructure and endpoint management systems. The main focus includes VMware Horizon, Omnissa Workspace ONE platforms, virtual desktop operations, and endpoint management to ensure a secure, stable, and reliable computing environment for end-users.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee and support VMware Horizon and Omnissa Horizon virtual desktop environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot Omnissa Workspace ONE and endpoint management tools.
• Provide support for virtual desktops, applications, user sessions, and associated infrastructure components.
• Conduct Level 2 incident troubleshooting related to VDI and endpoint management and resolve them efficiently.
• Manage device enrollment, configurations, policy enforcement, compliance, and software rollouts.
• Support Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management tasks as necessary.
• Continuously monitor system performance, availability, and capacity metrics.
• Execute patching, system upgrades, and configuration adjustments according to operational guidelines.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technical issues and contribute to their resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with Level 3 support and vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Adhere to security protocols, change management, and IT service management frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Between three to five years of practical experience in virtual desktop infrastructure, end-user computing, endpoint management, or systems administration.
• Proficiency and hands-on experience with VMware Horizon and Omnissa Horizon environments.
• Familiarity with Omnissa Workspace ONE platform and endpoint management solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager tools.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with Windows desktop and endpoint technologies.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, networking fundamentals, and virtualization concepts.
• Experience operating within an ITIL or IT service management setting is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

• VMware Horizon Certification.
• Omnissa Workspace ONE Certification.
• Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Administrator Associate Certification.
