NOC Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a NOC Analyst (Level 1) to oversee and monitor IT infrastructure and networking environments. The role involves responding promptly to alerts, managing incident tickets, conducting initial fault-finding, and escalating unresolved problems to higher-level technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously observe infrastructure, network, and system monitoring dashboards.
• React to alerts and detect probable service disruptions.
• Generate, update, and administrate incident and service tickets within the system.
• Carry out preliminary troubleshooting and diagnostic activities.
• Classify and rank incidents following established protocols.
• Escalate issues not resolved at level 1 to L2/L3 support teams appropriately.
• Adhere to incident management methods and escalation guidelines.
• Track system uptime and operational performance consistently.
• Keep accurate logs of incidents and monitoring activities.
• Compile fundamental operational and incident documentation reports.
• Participate in 24/7 NOC operational support as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
• Have between one to three years of experience in NOC operations, network monitoring, technical support, or managing IT infrastructure.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts, server management, and IT infrastructure components.
• Familiarity with IT monitoring tools and ticketing systems is essential.
• Strong problem-solving abilities combined with effective communication skills.
• Certifications such as ITIL Foundation or CompTIA Network+ are considered advantageous.
• Additional training or certification in monitoring platforms is a plus.
