Key Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and refine comprehensive risk and opportunity registers for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Conduct organized workshops for risk identification, assessment, and review throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and orchestrate quantitative risk assessments focused on project costs and schedules.
• Collaborate with project and commercial teams along with project controls experts to incorporate risk management seamlessly into reporting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
• Track project risks and opportunities, ensuring accountability, mitigation efforts, and effective control strategies are in place.
• Generate risk-related reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership, steering committees, and governance bodies.
• Provide assurance regarding the quality, effectiveness, and compliance of risk management practices and documentation.
• Assist delivery partners and consultants in adopting uniform risk management methodologies and frameworks.
• Spot emerging risk trends, facilitate lessons learned sessions, and champion continuous improvements.
• Foster a robust risk-aware mindset among project teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure risk management aligns with governance frameworks, escalation procedures, and project delivery standards.
• Contribute to achieving project schedule, cost, and performance goals by applying proactive risk management strategies.

Candidate Profile

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or related fields.
• Proven experience managing risk and opportunities within substantial infrastructure or major capital projects.
• Solid knowledge of project controls including risk, cost, and schedule management disciplines.
• Skilled in facilitating risk workshops and engaging a variety of stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using quantitative risk assessment and modeling tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of effectively presenting risk information to various audiences.
• Demonstrated capacity to influence and collaborate within complex project delivery environments.
• Experience in public infrastructure, utilities, water, energy, or major capital projects is a significant advantage.
• Relevant professional risk management certifications or accreditations, such as ISO 31000-related qualifications, are highly valued.
• Knowledge of sustainability, climate resilience, or asset risk considerations is beneficial.
