Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Take comprehensive responsibility for end-to-end procurement processes within complex Gas Services maintenance projects.
- Devise and implement procurement strategies aligned with project aims to guarantee timely supply, cost-efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
- Handle sophisticated Request for Quotations (RFQs), conduct detailed bid assessments, and lead negotiations for high-value commercial contracts.
- Formulate and execute supplier development plans, including evaluation, qualification, and long-term partnership management.
- Champion cost optimization initiatives, value engineering, and improvements in total cost of ownership.
- Oversee supplier performance monitoring and enforce corrective measures when necessary.
- Negotiate and conclude complex contracts, framework agreements, and service terms and conditions.
- Identify supply chain vulnerabilities proactively and establish effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate extensively with internal teams across Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Legal, and global procurement functions.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related disciplines; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Significant experience in project procurement, ideally within the energy sector, power generation, or industrial services.
- Specialized knowledge and experience in procurement related to Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine maintenance services is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex sourcing projects and conducting high-value commercial negotiations.
- Strong commercial insight, with expertise in contract management, supplier risk assessment, and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to influence senior management and work effectively in cross-functional, multinational teams.
- Familiarity with ERP software, particularly SAP, alongside digital procurement platforms.
