Role Overview
The Project Planner will be responsible for establishing planning governance, validating project schedules and progress, and offering critical analysis to protect both company and project interests at the project level. This role serves as a crucial link between project management, commercial teams, and various project stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain the project baseline schedule.
- Load resources and metrics into the schedule for accurate tracking.
- Ensure reporting adheres to the highest quality standards.
- Produce reports aligned with the company's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and agreed frameworks.
- Engage with lead planners to secure contractual safeguards.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to project operations teams.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders through regular reporting.
- Maintain cross-functional coordination to guarantee accuracy in reporting.
- Apply analytical thinking to evaluate project data and progress.
- Identify risks and escalate them appropriately.
- Conduct weekly progress assessments and maintain a photographic diary through site walks.
- Create detailed weekly planning reports and dashboards.
