Position Overview
Step into a key role at CGI as a Project Planner to drive the successful execution of a notable programme in Aberdeen. You will take full accountability for crafting a trustworthy and detailed programme schedule, enabling senior leaders to make well-informed delivery decisions. Your proficiency in Microsoft Project will be essential to question underlying assumptions, validate critical pathways, and evaluate schedule and resource options that reinforce programme commitments.
This is a unique chance to introduce innovative thinking to complex planning tasks while collaborating closely with the Programme Manager, workstream leads, and a vibrant community of CGI professionals. Your expertise will impact programme success and help lay a solid foundation for achievement.
CGI is proudly recognised as a top employer, featuring in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 and the Financial Times UK Best Employer list. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension scheme, private healthcare, and a share scheme making you a CGI Partner, not just an employee. We value inclusivity and diversity, supporting individuals including Armed Forces personnel, and hold a Gold Award for our Armed Forces Corporate Covenant support. This role is based in Aberdeen with a requirement to be onsite at least three days per week.

- Evaluate resource availability and capacity, highlighting any bottlenecks or schedule impacts.
- Collaborate with programme stakeholders to gather, challenge, and validate planning data.
- Convert complex scheduling information into clear, actionable insights to inform senior leadership decisions.
Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Demonstrable experience in developing, validating, and maintaining schedule baselines.
- Strong grasp of schedule logic, dependencies, milestones, and expertise in critical-path analysis.
- Skilled at performing risk and scenario analyses to evaluate delivery risks and alternative outcomes.
- Experience in resource planning to assess schedules against workforce capacity and identify constraints.
- Proven ability to manage and engage effectively with Programme Managers, project managers, workstream leads, and senior stakeholders.
