Senior Project Manager

Job Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete delivery cycle of complex, multi-department projects aimed at achieving strategic business goals. This role requires managing all facets including scope, timeline, budget, risks, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure efficient and timely completion. You will be the central accountable figure for project performance, ongoing enhancements, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, and close multiple simultaneous projects or major programs effectively.
• Define and control project scope, schedules, budgets, personnel, and outputs.
• Create detailed project plans including work breakdown structures, milestones, and dependencies, keeping comprehensive documentation up to date.
• Coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams including internal staff and external partners or vendors.
• Identify project risks and issues early, assess their impact, apply mitigations, escalate appropriately, and lead resolution activities.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders by setting clear expectations, offering frequent progress reports, and facilitating informed decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to quality control and organizational standards throughout project lifecycle.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvements by integrating lessons learned into future projects.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior project personnel such as project managers and coordinators.
• Oversee change management initiatives to support operational or customer-facing transformations resulting from project delivery.
• Maintain rigorous financial oversight including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least seven years of project management experience with a minimum of three years in senior or lead roles handling complex projects.
• A successful track record of delivering projects on schedule, within defined scope, and on budget.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities and communication skills suitable for executive-level interaction.
• Hands-on experience applying formal project management frameworks such as Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
• Proficiency in project management software including MS Project, Jira, MS Teams, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with adept problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English languages.
• Expertise or background in Supply Chain Retail domain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-ACP, or equivalent professional credentials.
• Experience within industries like logistics & supply chain, software delivery, IT infrastructure, or professional services.
• Background managing vendor or third-party relationships and overseeing commercial conditions of projects.
• Competence in handling portfolio-level reporting and benefits realization.
