The Role
Due to growth, the company seeks an Intermediate Project Manager to join their team and contribute to a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This role suits candidates who have experience in the construction industry and want to advance their consultancy project management career.
You will be part of a high-performing team managing projects from procurement through construction completion, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and high-quality standards. Projects range from new construction and refurbishments to repairs and alterations across multiple building sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare contract documents, oversee tender processes, and assist in contractor appointment.
- Coordinate and program building works throughout all project phases.
- Handle site instructions, contract clarifications, and facilitate design coordination among project participants.
- Track project progress and report according to project schedules.
- Create mitigation strategies to manage risks and avoid schedule delays.
- Monitor site instructions and variations in line with project cost plans.
- Manage project risks and contingency funds to ensure successful outcomes.
- Perform site observation, construction oversight, and quality assurance tasks.
- Support reporting and maintain stakeholder communication during project delivery.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in the construction sector.
- Background working with a contractor, consultancy, developer, or client-side organisation.
- Preferably possess a relevant tertiary qualification in Construction, Building Science, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective communication skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Professional, proactive attitude towards project delivery.
- Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
