Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee civil infrastructure projects throughout the Wellington region. You will play a key leadership role within a proficient Civil Contractor, managing projects from tender stage through to successful completion.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in civil infrastructure, preferably in three waters projects.
• Proficient in commercial management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Familiarity with NZS 3910 standards and civil contract regulations.
• Proven ability to manage programmes, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively.
• Competent in interpreting drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Dedication to safety, quality standards, and exceptional client service.
• Relevant construction, engineering, or trade qualification.
• Possession of a full Class 1 driver's license.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead civil infrastructure projects from tender through to completion stages.
• Oversee project programmes, budget planning, procurement processes, and cost monitoring.
• Manage variations, subcontractors, and allocation of project resources.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
