Project Manager - Customer Service Projects (Medium & Low Voltage)

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Manager responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, protection systems, Substation Automation Systems (SAS), and Digital Power projects within the Customer Services business unit. This role demands full accountability for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and quality standards.

The Project Manager acts as the main liaison for customers, focusing on profitability, satisfaction, risk management, and operational excellence. Projects include retrofit, modernization, upgrades, replacements, maintenance, testing, commissioning, protection relay migrations, automation upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and digital service integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customer service projects from initiation through to acceptance and warranty closure.
• Prepare detailed project execution, scheduling, resource, risk, and communication plans.
• Ensure adherence to internal project management frameworks, customer requirements, and contractual terms.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Track project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Hold project review sessions with all stakeholders.
• Manage MV/LV switchgear and lead protection and automation project teams.
• Oversee commercial aspects including profit and loss accountability.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and act as the primary contact point.
• Uphold Health, Safety, and Environment standards and support a zero-harm culture.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management standards.
• Lead and synchronize cross-functional project teams efficiently.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across the project lifespan.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
• Certified Project Management credentials such as PMP, Siemens Certified Project Manager, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-SP, NEBOSH, or IOSH are advantageous.
• At least 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in power distribution, protection, and automation systems.
• Minimum 5 years’ proven project management experience.
• Experience managing MV/LV switchgear and protection/automation projects.
• Familiarity with brownfield and greenfield projects across utilities, infrastructure, transportation, commercial, industrial, water, oil & gas, and energy sectors.
• Exposure to customer service, retrofit, and modernization projects is highly desirable.
