Project Manager - AI Hub

Overview

Based in Edinburgh, this Project Manager role is part of the new AI Hub team focused on advancing technological innovations and emerging technologies across the business. The position requires being onsite at the Edinburgh office at least three days a week with flexible options to work from home for the remaining days.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and completion of technology projects enhancing systems and related business workflows.
• Manage comprehensive project plans including governance, risk mitigation, issue resolution, dependency tracking, and progress reporting.
• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to sustain momentum and overcome barriers.
• Ensure clear and timely communication of project status, potential risks, and challenges to all relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with technical teams, product owners, stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver business value through successful project outcomes.
• Support and integrate Agile ceremonies as well as hybrid and traditional project management methodologies where appropriate.
• Align project objectives with wider portfolio aims and strategic business goals, fostering a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and continuous process improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable experience leading IT projects through full software development lifecycles in Agile settings (Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective interaction with both technical specialists and non-technical participants.
• Proven ability to establish strong partnerships, share knowledge proactively, and collaboratively address challenges to drive project success.
• Pragmatic problem-solving aptitude capable of identifying root issues and implementing effective, simplified solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software development and technology delivery processes.
• Expertise in managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and governance procedures.
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and prioritization capabilities.
• Willingness and capability to extend responsibilities beyond core project management, including contributing to analysis, planning, and solution discussions.
• Comfort with giving and receiving constructive feedback and maintaining resilience under pressure, ensuring continuous delivery momentum.
