About the Role
NextEra is seeking a seasoned Project Management Officer (PMO) Specialist/Analyst to facilitate governance, planning, reporting, financial oversight, resource handling, and stakeholder collaboration across diverse projects and programs. This pivotal position ensures that projects meet organizational goals, adhere to governance protocols, timelines, budgets, and maintain quality standards. A candidate with strong analytical aptitude and practical PMO experience is ideal.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of PMO governance and manage the complete project life cycle.
- Track project milestones, risks, issues, and interdependencies.
- Generate detailed project status reports daily, weekly, monthly, and for executive review.
- Compile dashboards and portfolio reports consolidating multiple projects.
- Monitor health metrics of projects and highlight deviations from initial plans.
- Coordinate project tasks across technical and business groups ensuring alignment.
- Maintain detailed schedules, RAID logs, action items, and meeting documentation.
- Organize governance meetings including steering committees and project forums for effective oversight.
- Assist Project Managers throughout phases from planning to closure.
- Supervise budget tracking, forecasting, and resource utilization for projects.
- Oversee financial documentation such as purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments.
- Support cost analysis, budget variance reporting, contract administration, and change requests.
- Manage resource onboarding/offboarding and maintain allocation and capacity planning reports.
- Collaborate with staffing teams to meet resource demands and support workforce planning.
- Maintain risk and issue registries, ensuring execution of mitigation plans.
- Validate adherence to PMO standards, governance procedures, and audit preparedness.
- Administer project documentation repositories and support quality audits.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and escalations effectively with stakeholders including vendors, leadership, and project teams.
- Promote cross-functional cooperation to ensure project delivery success.
Required Skills and Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of PMO frameworks, governance, and project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and programs in parallel.
- Expertise in project reporting, portfolio monitoring, and governance.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, dashboards, data analysis), Microsoft Project, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence is advantageous.
- Educational background including a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Preferred professional certifications: PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, PMO, Agile/Scrum or equivalents.
