Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized technical guidance and support in delivering the Council's Water Services and Stormwater Capital Works Program.
• Manage infrastructure projects from initial investigation and design phases through procurement, construction, and final delivery.
• Collaborate with Council colleagues, external consultants, contractors, iwi, and various stakeholders to ensure exemplary project outcomes.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety standards and environmental protection requirements while maintaining efficiency.
• Contribute to developing infrastructure that enhances community wellbeing long term.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Civil or Natural Resources Engineering degree or an equivalent tertiary qualification with relevant engineering expertise.
• Have at least 3 years of professional experience managing civil engineering projects involving water, wastewater, and/or stormwater systems.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge, project management capabilities, organizational skills, and effective communication.
• Understand NZS 3910 contract administration procedures.
• Be experienced in the design and construction aspects of three waters infrastructure.
