Job Overview

We seek a seasoned and strategic Project Director to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) in Doha, Qatar. This influential position involves directing governance, execution, and continuous improvement of our project portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and delivering measurable business benefits. The successful candidate will possess outstanding leadership skills, robust analytical abilities, and a strong commitment to operational excellence across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and uphold PMO governance frameworks, policies, and protocols to guarantee uniformity in project delivery standards throughout the enterprise
• Develop and deploy strategic methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to improve project efficiencies and mitigate risks
• Manage numerous simultaneous projects and programs, ensuring they comply with schedules, budgets, and business goals
• Perform detailed project portfolio assessments and advise senior leadership on strategic resource distribution and prioritization
• Guide, support, and enhance PMO team performance, fostering a culture focused on continual improvement and professional advancement
• Maintain comprehensive stakeholder communication across all levels, delivering clear updates on project status, risks, and achievements
• Analyze project KPIs and performance data to detect trends, challenges, and areas for process enhancement
• Implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and guarantee successful project completions
• Collaborate with division leaders and project sponsors to ensure project goals align with corporate strategy and operational capabilities
• Prepare and deliver detailed reports, dashboards, and business cases to senior executives and board members

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 25 years professional experience, including 5 years within the GCC region preferably overseeing projects in roads, infrastructure, aviation, and rail sectors
• Proven track record in establishing and implementing PMO governance frameworks and project management methodologies
• Demonstrated capacity to manage large, multifaceted project portfolios with diverse stakeholders and competing priorities
• Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred
• Candidates currently based in Qatar or with prior experience working in Qatar are strongly encouraged to apply
