Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Construction Manager with extensive expertise in building and infrastructure sectors to oversee major construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will exhibit meticulous attention to detail, innovative problem-solving skills, and a steadfast commitment to timely, budget-conscious delivery while upholding superior quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project requirement development and perform constructability assessments to identify cost and schedule risks.
• Assist in pinpointing long-lead procurements and engage in value engineering to improve project outcomes.
• Review design and construction documents to ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards.
• Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning, and establish baseline schedules with ongoing progress monitoring.
• Conduct criticality assessments to focus oversight on key design and construction elements.
• Lead and manage the site project team under client oversight, including supervising general contractors and subcontractors.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with owners, architects, and contractors to resolve project issues.
• Evaluate construction progress, ensure schedule adherence, and collaborate with cost and schedule teams for reporting.
• Support site observations, issue follow-ups, and punch-list resolution in collaboration with architects and engineers.
• Oversee inspections, testing procedures, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Effectively liaise with external vendors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and contractors in a collaborative manner.
• Manage interfaces with local authorities concerning site development, utility connections, and permits.
• Build and nurture strong relationships among project participants, encouraging cross-disciplinary cooperation.
• Communicate project status, risks, and remedies professionally and transparently to all stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to building codes, industry standards, and regional infrastructure regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and integrate safety in design principles.
• Review technical submittals and information requests alongside technical reviewers.
• Fulfill SOX control responsibilities where relevant.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 20 years of extensive project management and on-site construction delivery experience involving complex, large-scale projects.
• Minimum of 5 years’ mandatory experience operating within the GCC region, especially Qatar or similar international markets.
• Proven history managing ground-up projects from initial phases through completion successfully.
• Strong skills in budget oversight, cost control, and schedule management.
• Expertise in feasibility studies, risk management, and vendor coordination.
• Deep understanding of project delivery methods, safety regulations, and compliance requirements particular to the GCC.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Valid health and safety certification recognized within the GCC region.
