Role Overview

As the Project Director, you will lead and oversee the full lifecycle of GPU- and AI-factory projects on Singtel's GPU-as-a-Service platform. Your responsibilities will encompass project initiation, design, build, integration, transition to operations, and ongoing service management. You'll ensure these projects meet quality benchmarks, adhere to scope, timelines, and comply fully with established processes, security protocols, and customer service commitments.

Additionally, you will support client engagements and contribute to business expansion efforts by providing project leadership, aiding in tenders and pre-sales activities with operational insights, and ensuring that GPUaaS solutions are practical, scalable, and align with corporate platform standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Govern the entire lifecycle of GPUaaS platform projects, covering initiation, planning, execution, transition, security compliance, and operational handover.
• Sanction project timetables, quality assurance plans, budgets, communication strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
• Define project scope and mediate any disputes affecting scope, schedule, or costs, especially relating to GPUaaS capabilities and SLA adherence.
• Coordinate integration across hardware provisioning, cluster setup, software/platform installation, testing, business process redesign, application enablement, workload migration, and data transformation.
• Manage the financial aspects of projects, including forecasting costs and revenues for delivery and operations.
• Ensure project execution meets deadlines, budgets, quality standards, and readiness criteria for GPUaaS consumption.
• Provide updates on project and service performance to senior leadership and customers, monitoring GPUaaS availability, capacity, and operational KPIs.
• Optimize resource allocation to enhance productivity in project delivery and service maintenance.
• Lead teams through the transition from build phase to steady-state operations, ensuring compliance with customer and governance requirements.
• Oversee ongoing operations to maintain GPUaaS service levels, preventing delays, service degradation, or security breaches.
• Manage contracts and relationships with vendors, subcontractors, stakeholders, and customers.
• Engage stakeholders effectively in decision-making and project execution phases.
• Build enduring customer relationships through proactive anticipation of client needs.
• Lead escalation procedures addressing complicated commercial, technical, and delivery challenges across all parties.
• Identify opportunities for service expansion or enhancement and collaborate with Account Managers to pursue these prospects.
• Support tender efforts by guiding proposal developments, reviewing scopes, risks, and ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
• Assist pre-sales teams by providing operational and technical evaluations of proposed solutions to confirm feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Project Management, or related disciplines.
• At least 10 years' experience in project or construction management, preferably with a focus on data centers and AI infrastructure.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English with meticulous attention to detail in communication.
• Robust negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Capability to lead cross-functional teams and juggle several projects concurrently.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
• Project management certifications or equivalent credentials are considered an advantage.
• Experience overseeing large-scale GPU, AI, HPC, or Cloud infrastructure initiatives is favorable.
• Background in managing tender- and contract-based projects for public sector or major enterprises is beneficial.

Desirable Expertise

• Hands-on experience supporting AI and HPC workloads on GPU clusters or cloud environments, providing sound technical judgment for project decisions and risk assessment.
• Working knowledge of orchestration and workload platforms such as Kubernetes or Slurm to advise on deployment models and operational impacts.
• Understanding of GPU cluster architecture including GPU-to-GPU communication for evaluating design trade-offs.
• Experience in coordinating proof-of-concept or pilot deployments with technical readiness verification and transition planning.
• Familiarity with security, regulatory, and compliance requirements pertinent to GPUaaS or critical infrastructure to support effective governance.
• Participation in RFP, RFO, or tender engagements within regulated or enterprise environments focusing on technical scope and risk evaluation.
