Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Director to lead, govern, and ensure successful delivery of comprehensive GPU- and AI-factory initiatives on Singtel's GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) platform. The role encompasses end-to-end project and service lifecycle management, including initiation, design, build, integration, transition to operations, and maintaining steady-state service delivery. You will ensure projects are completed with high quality, adhering to approved scope and schedules while complying fully with processes, standards, security guidelines, and customer service commitments.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and govern the full project lifecycle for GPUaaS-based projects, covering initiation, planning, execution, transition, security, clearance, operations, and closure.
• Approve project documentation such as schedules, quality plans, budgets, communication strategies, and risk management approaches for deployment and operational phases.
• Oversee scope definitions and resolve any disputes affecting scope, timeline, or costs, with particular attention to GPUaaS capabilities and service-level agreements.
• Coordinate integration across all GPUaaS platform components, including hardware setup, GPU cluster construction, software/platform implementation, testing, business process redesign, application enablement, workload migration, and data conversion.
• Manage financial forecasting, ensuring accurate cost and revenue planning for project delivery and ongoing service operations.
• Monitor project execution concerning timelines, budgets, personnel, quality standards, and readiness for GPUaaS consumption.
• Report project and service metrics, including platform availability, capacity, and operational KPIs to senior leadership and customers.
• Optimize resource and manpower allocation to enhance efficiency throughout project delivery and operational phases.
• Provide leadership to project and operations teams ensuring a smooth transition from build to steady-state GPUaaS platform operation aligned with customer requirements and governance policies.
• Ensure ongoing operational excellence by maintaining GPUaaS service levels without delays, degradation, or security incidents.
• Manage vendor contracts, subcontractors, and customer/stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Engage stakeholders and lead escalation procedures to resolve complex commercial, technical, and delivery challenges.
• Identify opportunities to enhance or expand services and collaborate closely with Account Managers to advance business growth.
• Contribute to tender processes by reviewing proposed scopes, risks, and compliance from a delivery perspective.
• Support pre-sales efforts by assessing proposed GPUaaS solutions for feasibility, scalability, and alignment with platform standards and capabilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Project Management, or related disciplines.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in project or construction management, particularly with data centre and AI infrastructure initiatives.
• Strong leadership capabilities combined with effective problem-solving acumen.
• Excellent English communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects successfully.
• Experience using project management tools and methodologies.
• Professional certifications in project management or equivalent credentials are advantageous.
• Experience delivering large-scale GPU, AI, HPC, or cloud infrastructure projects considered a plus.
• Background in tender-based and contract-driven projects in the public sector or large enterprise environments is beneficial.

Preferred Expertise

• Experience supporting AI and HPC workloads on GPU clusters or cloud environments with technical insight to guide project decisions and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with orchestration/workload management platforms such as Kubernetes or Slurm to advise on deployment, operational impact, and delivery sequencing.
• Understanding of GPU cluster architecture including GPU-to-GPU communications to evaluate design options and performance trade-offs.
• Experience managing proof-of-concept, pilot, or trial deployments including technical validation and transition planning for enterprise or public sector clients.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks applicable to GPUaaS or critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience contributing to technical scope evaluation and risk management in RFP/RFO or tender engagements, especially for regulated or enterprise environments.
