Role Overview

Join Singtel as an accomplished Full-Stack AI Engineer responsible for designing, constructing, and deploying comprehensive AI-native applications. You will take ownership of the entire feature development cycle, ranging from creating engaging frontend interfaces for streaming AI data to engineering reliable backend systems, orchestrating intricate large language model (LLM) workflows, and managing vector databases alongside cloud infrastructures. This role requires a versatile expert with broad architectural knowledge and concentrated expertise in practical AI software challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated AI orchestration and intelligent workflows including multi-agent frameworks, task routing, and Human-in-the-Loop processes using orchestration tools such as LangChain and LangGraph.
• Design and build high-performance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines with optimized indexing, chunking, and hybrid semantic-keyword search strategies powered by vector databases.
• Integrate cutting-edge LLMs and foundational models using commercial APIs or self-hosted inference, while managing latency, token limitations, context windows, and fallback protocols.
• Establish rigorous AI evaluation systems to assess hallucinations, performance drift, and accuracy; enforce prompt safety, structural validation, and robust guardrails enabling safe handling of unpredictable outputs.
• Architect backend services optimized for concurrency and asynchrony using Python (FastAPI) or Node.js/TypeScript, developing dependable RESTful APIs and leveraging Model Context Protocol (MCP) where appropriate.
• Create responsive, dynamic frontend applications with React or Next.js supporting streaming data, chat interfaces, agent-based UI models, and sophisticated visualizations of complex AI model results.
• Develop relational database schemas and transactional workflows primarily with PostgreSQL, harmonizing structured and unstructured data pipelines.
• Containerize application components utilizing Docker for streamlined deployment.
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures on platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines, incorporating automated testing (e.g., Bitbucket, Bamboo), plus monitoring and observability solutions for software performance and LLM resource usage.

Required Skills and Technologies

• Expertise in AI/LLM frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini.
• Experience with vector databases including pgvector for PostgreSQL and Azure AI Search.
• Strong backend programming skills in Python with FastAPI, as well as Node.js, Java, and TypeScript; familiarity with API Gateway.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React, Next.js, state management patterns (Zustand, Redux), and streaming communication methods (SSE, WebSockets).
• Database and storage knowledge covering PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud storage solutions like AWS S3.
• DevOps and cloud platform experience working with AWS, Azure, Docker, and monitoring with OpenTelemetry.
