Cyber Security Architect and Emerging Technology Lead

We're searching for a visionary Group Security Architect to shape our security architecture strategy and secure the adoption of emerging technologies across all our entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and sustain the group-wide Security Architecture Vision and roadmap, harmonized with enterprise architecture and business goals.
• Predict upcoming technological shifts and embed secure-design principles and guardrails inspired by zero-trust concepts into our blueprints.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and operating companies to develop security guardrails guiding technology integration and operations consistently.
• Maintain and update the Security Reference Architecture for critical technology domains, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Direct the alignment of the security technology stack throughout operating companies, promoting rationalization and interoperability.
• Lead monthly forums uniting security and architecture leaders to discuss current deployments, lessons learned, and plans for technology convergence.
• Foster joint initiatives, shared services, and organisation-wide optimization, including coordinating with procurement on vendor selection and licensing.
• Explore advanced cyber technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and synthetic media technologies; participate in pilot programs to gauge readiness and integration potential.
• Represent Group Cybersecurity in Architecture Review Boards, offering expert guidance on controls and architecture practices and developing reusable design patterns.
• Provide design assurance for significant programs and strategic initiatives, partnering closely with CISOs and architects to maintain consistency.
• Support budget planning and resource allocation for cyber-related emerging technology efforts.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders across subsidiaries to ensure cohesive cybersecurity strategies and promote awareness of priority initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
• Between 10 to 15 years’ experience in enterprise or security architecture, with at least 5 years managing group-level or multi-entity governance.
• Proven record of overseeing complex cybersecurity architecture projects and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, along with frameworks like SABSA, TOGAF.
• Expertise in Zero Trust models, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Identity and Access Management, Data Security, Network Segmentation, AI Security, and Quantum technologies.
• Familiarity with telecommunications, cloud, and enterprise IT ecosystems.
• Excellent ability to simplify technical concepts for leadership and business audiences.
• Preferred certifications include SABSA, TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly within conglomerate or multi-subsidiary settings.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capability, with effective communication at all organizational levels.
