Project Cost Controller

About the Role

Qatar Fabrication Company (QFAB) is seeking a Project Cost Controller based in Doha, Qatar. Preference will be given to Qatari nationals. The position involves establishing, monitoring, and reporting project budgets and forecasts with minimal supervision, closely liaising with the project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) aligned with the approved project scope and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Ensure precise distribution of the project budget, managing control budgets for equipment, materials, subcontracts, fabrication, and related support teams.
• Assist in the design and implementation of project-specific cost control systems adhering to company and project management requirements, including cost databases and reporting formats.
• Analyze cost reports to identify issues, and effectively report project cost performance, risks, opportunities, and concerns to the project management team regularly.
• Prepare, review, and assess the Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts based on remaining work, expenditures, and commitments.
• Establish and maintain the project change management system in compliance with QFAB procedures.
• Prepare, obtain approvals for, and submit monthly progress invoices to clients.
• Provide required data to support project accounting and revenue recognition.
• Offer assistance to the Lead Cost Engineer as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Experience handling offshore projects and fabrication processes is preferred.
