Programme Manager

Role Overview

Fletcher Construction is searching for an experienced and innovative Programme Manager to spearhead planning excellence for the Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi infrastructure project. This senior leadership position involves managing the comprehensive programme planning and execution functions essential to the project's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee development, maintenance, and continual refinement of the project programme utilizing Primavera P6 software.
• Lead and support a planning team comprising two professionals, guiding their efforts to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with construction and engineering departments to devise realistic and effective delivery sequences.
• Track project progress relative to milestones, identify risks, delays, and opportunities for recovery.
• Provide programme governance through comprehensive reporting, forecasting, and schedule analysis to aid strategic decisions.
• Champion continuous enhancements in planning processes, governance structures, and overall project delivery outcomes.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• At least 12 years of experience in programme management, construction scheduling, or planning within large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 with demonstrated expertise handling complex project schedules.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods and engineering-driven project delivery practices.
• Proven leadership in managing planning teams and mentoring planning professionals.
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent field, or substantial industry experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to influence and engage key stakeholders effectively.

The Te Awa Kairangi Alliance delivers crucial transportation, pedestrian, and cycling enhancements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, aiming to improve flood protection and revitalize the city. Fletcher Construction partners with AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui, and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to realize this transformative initiative.
