About the Role

The Finance PMO & Enablement team acts as a central hub within MongoDB's CFO organization, supporting various Finance functions such as Accounting, FP&A, Data Analytics, Real Estate, Corporate and Venture Development, and Business Operations. Their goal is to drive scalable processes, improve operational efficiency, and enable transformative initiatives. The team envisions building a forward-looking finance organization that adapts, innovates, and accelerates business growth through continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence.

As a Program Manager, you will be pivotal in delivering Finance transformation programs of small to medium size. You will be responsible for managing program planning, coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining governance processes, and ensuring stakeholder alignment by collaborating with Business Analysts, IT, Finance leaders, and external vendors. This role requires hands-on execution, strong organization, relationship management, and proactive problem solving in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle delivery of finance programs from initiation through go-live and post-implementation review.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans covering milestones, dependencies, resource allocation, and risk/issues tracking.
• Track progress and proactively address blockers, escalating when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to Finance PMO governance standards and practices.
• Foster strong partnerships with Finance functional teams, IT, Business Analysts, and vendors.
• Conduct program governance meetings such as steering committees and status updates.
• Effectively communicate program status, risks, and decisions with stakeholders at all levels.
• Manage conflicting priorities and facilitate consensus to drive programs forward.
• Collaborate on gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements, ensuring smooth handoff to IT and vendors.
• Maintain all program documentation including charters, plans, process flows, decision logs, and lessons learned repositories.
• Coordinate planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) alongside relevant stakeholders.
• Partner with Change Management to ensure communications and change initiatives are integrated.
• Support post-implementation hypercare and continuously improve PMO processes.
• Contribute to intake and portfolio planning efforts by providing accurate data and resource estimates.
• Maintain accurate program information in PMO tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
• Assist leadership with maintaining a current view of the Finance program portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Finance, Business, Accounting, or related disciplines.
• PMP certification preferred; Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable qualifications are advantageous.
• 4 to 6 years of experience managing programs or projects within Finance, Operations, or Technology settings.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs end-to-end, including planning, execution, testing, and closure.
• Preferred exposure to Finance processes such as P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A or experience implementing finance systems like NetSuite, Kyriba, Brex, Salesforce.
• Experience in a high-growth global technology company is an asset.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and external partners.
• Comfortable working in uncertain or ambiguous environments with the ability to structure work proactively.
• Proficient with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalents.

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience with Finance ERP or SaaS platforms such as NetSuite, Kyriba, Pigment, Brex/AppZen, Workiva.
• Background in Accounting Operations or Finance Transformation projects.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or similar SaaS technologies.
• Experience coordinating change management or training functions within programs.
• Program management experience related to M&A integration processes.
