Job description

About the Role

This role involves managing the delivery, refreshing, and enhancement of the Neighbourhood Watch Queensland (NHWQ) Program as part of the Crime Prevention Programs Unit (CPPU). The Coordinator will collaborate with CPPU members and District Crime Prevention Coordinators, maintaining extensive engagement with NHWQ Police Officers, the NHWQ Community Advisory Group, and various community members throughout Queensland.

Unit Overview

The Crime Prevention Programs Unit oversees multiple community-based programs and initiatives aimed at crime prevention, harm reduction, and trauma mitigation through active community participation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement problem-solving strategies to enhance the NHWQ program's service delivery.
  • Contribute to and manage projects focused on improving NHWQ initiatives.
  • Engage extensively with internal teams and external community stakeholders across the state.

Additional Details

  • The position reports to the Manager of the Crime Prevention Programs Unit.
  • Applications submitted will remain valid for 12 months.
  • Belongs to the Occupational group: Administration.
