Job Overview
The Productivity Buyer role focuses on enhancing material productivity and managing supplier relationships, aligned with budgetary goals, within a global supply chain environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and execute technical, re-sourcing, logistics, VPS materials productivity, and reservoir initiatives in collaboration with the segment organization to fulfill budget requirements.
- Assist commodity segment leaders in achieving site negotiation targets.
- Lead material productivity initiatives coordinated through the MSC, involving supplier engagement as per budget timelines.
- Oversee supplier relations where appointed as Key Account Purchasing, unless managed by Group Commodity.
- Deploy Product Group and Product Line global material standards at site level.
- Co-develop site budgets with the Purchasing Manager and coordinate with Segment Leaders.
- Implement site-level mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with logistics protocols for all externally sourced components.
- Strictly enforce V5000 Supplier Integration standards including certifications, procedures, purchasing tools, and information systems.
