About the Role
We are searching for motivated individuals experienced in concrete manufacturing to support the efficiency and output of our Winton Factory. As a Production Technician, your role will be to assist the team in meeting production schedules while fostering an upbeat and engaged team environment. Promoting and maintaining a proactive health and safety culture is a fundamental part of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow the production schedule diligently to ensure targets and production plans are met.
- Engage in mould set up, assembly of moulds and reinforcements, concrete casting and pouring, formwork stripping, cleaning, finishing, and other activities essential for safe product manufacture.
- Dismantle forms after concrete curing, strip moulds, and mark products according to production drawings.
- Operate various power tools, forklifts, and perform tasks such as tying and rolling wires and concrete mixing.
- Handle portable concrete-mixing machinery and hand-cast structural concrete elements, including shoveling materials like sand, cement, gravel, or pumice into mixers.
- Ensure quality control forms are properly utilized and reviewed; immediately address any quality deviations.
Desired Attributes and Qualifications
- Experience working with precast concrete products.
- Competence in reading and interpreting plans and drawings.
- Ability to make well-informed decisions and execute them efficiently.
- Holding an F class driver’s license is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate within the team.
- Physical capability to safely handle manual tasks involving lifting up to 25kg.
- Solid practical knowledge and adherence to workshop health and safety protocols.
