Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Production Engineer Supervisor to oversee metal fabrication and assembly processes for equipment such as various Belt Conveyors, Weighing & Bagging Machines, and integrated systems for bulk material and packed bag handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage metal fabrication and assembly operations of mechanical equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately to direct production.
- Ensure thorough understanding and application of welding processes and mechanical fabrication techniques.
- Supervise and provide technical support to welders and fabricators on the shop floor.
- Plan and coordinate production activities to meet delivery schedules and organisational objectives.
- Review 3D models and 2D prints to evaluate manufacturability, suggesting design changes when necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure projects comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Implement quality control procedures to reduce defects and uphold high production quality.
- Monitor resource usage to optimise efficiency and schedule adherence.
- Generate production reports for senior management review.
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep knowledge of mechanical fabrication equipment and processes.
- Experience in metal sheet fabrication techniques.
- Hands-on mechanical engineering skills with practical exposure.
- Familiarity with design-to-manufacturing workflows.
- Able to understand and analyze mechanical drawings, 3D models, and blueprints.
Additional Information
This role requires strong supervisory skills and the ability to plan shop floor activities to achieve production targets efficiently.
Compensation
The salary range is INR 18,000 to 28,000 per month.
