Lead Planning Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Planning Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering background and extensive industry experience. The ideal candidate will have between 12 to 15 years of professional expertise, primarily in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Fertilizers sectors. This role focuses on overseeing shutdown and turnaround planning, with a required minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience specifically within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules including baseline schedules, Daily Progress Reports (DPR), and Weekly Progress Reports (WPR).
• Lead and coordinate shutdown and turnaround planning activities ensuring timely and efficient execution.
• Utilize Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software to plan, track and update project progress.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B. Tech).
• Minimum of 12 to 15 years experience in relevant industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Fertilizers.
• Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in shutdown/turnaround planning within the GCC region.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project scheduling tools.

Contract Details

This position is a contractual engagement lasting for 3 months, located onsite in Doha, Qatar.
