Position Overview

Friends Color Images invites applications for the role of Production Printing Engineer based at Manesar and Navi Mumbai locations. This position involves rotational shifts, including night shifts, with a six-day work week and weekly rotating offs. Compensation aligns with prevailing market standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive maintenance and technical support for high-speed inkjet printers such as JS1400 and Miyakoshi MPG20EXG20, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted production.
• Execute both preventive and corrective maintenance procedures to maximize machine uptime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software faults related to inkjet printing equipment promptly.
• Continuously monitor and enhance print quality alongside machine productivity and consumable use to sustain production standards and reduce waste.
• Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, breakdown incidents, repairs, and overall equipment performance.
• Provide training and supervise operators and technicians on printer usage, safety protocols, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Comply with prescribed quality controls, production timelines, standard operating procedures, and plant safety regulations.
• Initiate and support continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting efficiency, print quality, and productivity.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams for effective scheduling and execution of maintenance and production plans.
• Offer technical support across day and night shifts, especially during critical equipment failures.
• Enter into a mandatory two-year service agreement as per company policy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Printing Technology, or related technical streams.
• At least 2 years of practical experience working with high-speed inkjet printing machines, preferably JS1400 or comparable models.
• Strong knowledge of production printing operations, including preventive and breakdown maintenance, and print quality management.
• Familiarity with printing equipment brands like Domino, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, HP, Canon, or similar industrial-grade printers is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components in printing machinery with capabilities to troubleshoot effectively.
• Ability to interpret technical resources such as manuals, circuit diagrams, and machine drawings proficiently.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude to manage breakdowns and urgent production issues.
• Capacity to thrive in a dynamic plant environment and provide support across multiple shifts.
