Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production operations to meet output and delivery goals consistently.
• Manage functions of die-casting, T-nut forming, PVC, tapping, and bandsaw machinery.
• Distribute manpower and machine allocation based on priorities and worker expertise.
• Supervise production workflow to detect and resolve bottlenecks efficiently.
• Guarantee adherence to quality standards and customer requirements in all output.
• Collaborate with the quality team to introduce inspection points that lower rework and rejection rates.
• Maintain comprehensive records of defects, root causes, and corrective measures.
• Lead and motivate production operators, helpers, and technicians through daily briefings and training.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols including PPE use and statutory shop floor regulations.
• Conduct investigations into workplace incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Monitor availability of raw materials and coordinate replenishment with inventory teams.
• Reduce material wastage and enhance machine utilization rates.
• Drive initiatives for process enhancement, including lean manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
• Keep detailed logs on shift activities, production output, and downtime, reporting to management regularly.
• Work jointly with maintenance on preventive upkeep and promptly address machine repairs.
• Coordinate operations with quality control, inventory, and dispatch departments to maintain workflow efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) is required.
• Three to four years of demonstrated experience as a Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
• In-depth understanding of production machinery, shop floor operations, and quality assurance systems.
• Proficient in employee management, production scheduling, and problem resolution.
• Capable of thriving under pressure and meeting stringent deadlines.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting purposes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary ranges from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000, based on experience and interview performance.
• Increment based on performance is available.
