About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Cinema Manager to become an integral part of our Cinema Management Team. This role involves leading your team to provide exceptional experiences for guests, maximizing sales opportunities, and ensuring the theatre runs smoothly on a daily basis.
Your responsibilities span from opening hours until the final credits, focusing on creating a welcoming, safe, and engaging atmosphere. Additionally, you'll foster a team environment where every member enjoys their role.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and lead your team to consistently deliver excellent customer service during all shifts.
- Manage all daily cinema operations including guest flow, on-screen presentation quality, and adherence to health, safety, and compliance regulations.
- Fulfill key-holding duties and be capable of independently running the cinema when necessary.
- Enhance commercial performance through smart merchandising, maintaining product availability, and exceptional guest service.
- Oversee cash handling, inventory control, and cost management within company budgetary guidelines.
- Support recruitment, training, and career development for cinema staff members.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation such as Food Hygiene, Licensing, BBFC, GDPR, and Health & Safety standards.
- Maintain an active leadership presence on the floor, making guest-focused decisions.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in hospitality, retail, or leisure sectors.
- Strong communication and leadership skills paired with a proactive, positive attitude.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and ability to ensure compliance.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, guest-oriented settings.
- Excellent problem-solving and sound decision-making skills.
- Flexibility including availability for work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to excellence and leading through example.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check is required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Prior experience working within cinema, hospitality, or leisure industries.
- Technical knowledge of cinema systems such as Theatre Management Systems (TMS), Key Delivery Messages (KDMs), and projector maintenance.
