Role Summary

We are looking to onboard a Product Security Engineer working remotely on a full-time basis. This role entails designing and implementing security measures tailored for a cloud-native platform, emphasizing threat modeling and integrating security seamlessly throughout the product's development lifecycle. The candidate will collaborate closely with multiple teams to embed security within all product phases.

Primary Responsibilities

Define and uphold security requirements for product features and supporting infrastructure.
Perform threat modeling and evaluate risks associated with both new developments and existing functionalities.
Implement and maintain secure coding standards alongside comprehensive security testing methods.
Partner with engineering to architect and deploy secure cloud platforms.
Continuously monitor security issues and manage remediation efforts by coordinating across various teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience with secure software development lifecycles.
Expertise in applying threat modeling methodologies and tools.
Solid understanding of cloud security concepts, particularly with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
Skilled in security testing technologies including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and penetration testing.
Hands-on experience with container security, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) systems and zero-trust security frameworks.
Ability to draft clear and comprehensive security policies and documentation for engineering teams.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between 250000 and 400000 USD annually.
