The aim is to enable paying customers to quickly realize significant value by improving the discovery and connection processes with relevant opportunities. This is a remote, international position requiring cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, analytics, and data/ML teams within a dynamic product environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire post-purchase customer journey targeting activation, matching efficiency, recommendation relevance, and accelerating customer value realization.
- Balance quantity and quality of offers to ensure customers receive relevant selections without being overwhelmed or underserved.
- Enhance recommendation trustworthiness and increase relevant invitations delivered to paying customers.
- Boost the probability that new users find quality matches within their first week.
- Develop and refine engagement features such as gamification elements, nudges, reminders, and conversation reactivation methods.
- Analyze matching criteria across various user groups, applying segmentation, personalization, and data enrichment tactics to improve recommendation outcomes.
- Identify obstacles and growth possibilities by leveraging quantitative metrics, qualitative insights, and product intuition.
- Convert product improvement opportunities into clear, testable hypotheses with defined success metrics and measurable results.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize, create, test, and launch enhancements.
- Manage product requirements, prioritize tasks, and oversee delivery schedules to ensure smooth execution.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experimental methods, analyze findings, and iterate or scale solutions based on data.
- Assume full ownership of product results, focusing on tangible impact rather than process alone.
Qualifications and Experience
- Practical experience in B2C product management, particularly related to customer experience, journey design, activation, onboarding, or initial session optimization.
- Background in handling discovery-driven products with large volumes of offers, listings, or matches.
- Understanding of search and feed relevance, matching systems, recommendation algorithms, and personalization approaches.
- Experience with segmentation and personalizing offers or listings enriched by supplementary data.
- Industry experience in marketplaces, aggregators, dating or social discovery platforms, real estate, classifieds, or e-commerce with sizable catalogs focusing on discovery and recommendations.
- Capability to formulate product hypotheses, clearly specify requirements, and set measurable success criteria.
- Proven track record of steering product delivery from concept through implementation and assessment.
- Skilled in designing and evaluating A/B tests and other product experimentation methodologies.
- Comfortable integrating qualitative and quantitative research techniques to comprehend user behavior and inform product decisions.
- Strong proficiency interpreting product metrics to find notable growth chances from data analysis.
- Excellent collaborative mindset engaging with designers, analysts, engineers, and data/ML experts.
- Outcome-driven with high ownership and decisiveness in independent decision-making.
- Adept at operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced product environments with shifting priorities.
- Clear, straightforward communicator open to learning from failures and experimental outcomes.
