Product Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Data Analyst to join our digital product team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will transform product data into meaningful insights that aid product development and strategic decisions. This position emphasizes Product Analytics, focusing on user behavior analysis, data integrity, metric definition, tracking improvements, and providing actionable guidance. This role extends beyond typical Business Intelligence reporting, requiring hands-on involvement with live digital product data.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, oversee, and document essential product metrics such as activation rates, job application processes, recruiter interactions, and AI service performance.
• Lead and maintain a standardized Job Title Taxonomy to enhance data reliability and uniformity.
• Detect, analyze, and remediate data quality issues in production datasets.
• Create and uphold comprehensive data tracking strategies, detailing events and attributes for engineering execution.
• Perform complete analytical processes—from defining business inquiries and crafting SQL queries to delivering actionable insights.
• Design and evaluate experimental studies, including calculations for sample sizes and tests for statistical significance.
• Develop and update dashboards and underlying data models to enable self-service analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy by investigating anomalies and challenging inconsistencies between data and actual product behavior.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to Product, Engineering, and Executive stakeholders.
• Manage personal data responsibly, complying with Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and organizational retention policies.

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of data analytics experience, with at least 2 years supporting a live digital product.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
• Strong skills in Python or R for sophisticated data analysis tasks.
• Expertise with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Metabase, including data modeling capabilities.
• Practical experience in Product Analytics and creating data tracking plans.
• Knowledge of experimentation methods, statistical analysis, sample size determination, and significance testing.
• Proven ability to identify and rectify data quality problems in live environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline.
• Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in Arabic is highly favored.
• Residency requirement: based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with dbt or Data Warehouse Modeling techniques.
• Understanding of occupational classification frameworks such as ESCO, ISCO, or O*NET.
• Awareness of data privacy regulations like PDPL or equivalent.
• Experience working with digital marketplaces, recruitment platforms, or HR technology.
