Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the produce department's cleanliness, organization, and zoning to ensure it is always customer-ready.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired products to guarantee freshness and quality.
• Ensure all produce items are correctly priced and properly signed, adhering to procedures for ordering, markdowns, labels, and signage.
• Follow stringent food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring and compliance with expiration dates.
• Stock and destock merchandise as necessary, use product protection measures, and arrange modular displays to keep inventory fully stocked.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business requirements.

Challenges in the Role

• Effectively manage overnight shifts and maintain energy levels throughout demanding work hours.
• Handle a fast-paced workload involving significant volumes of restocking and recovery accurately and timely.
• Perform physical tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Complete repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with a focus on detail and consistency.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this position is $18.05 per hour.
