Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and clearly zoned produce area ready for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate fresh products and remove expired items to guarantee product quality and freshness.
• Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labeled, following procedures for ordering, clearance, price changes, and signage.
• Adhere to food safety standards, including sanitation, cold chain practices, temperature monitoring, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as needed, apply product protection, and set modular displays to keep the department well stocked.
• Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a safe and clean workplace environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Challenges in the Role

• Handle high volumes of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing overnight shifts effectively to maintain energy and focus.
• Perform physically demanding activities like standing for long periods, bending, lifting inventory or supplies up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing with consistent attention to detail to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this position is $16.45 per hour.
