Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper zoning in the produce department to ensure readiness for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired produce to uphold freshness and high quality standards.
• Accurately price and sign products, following correct procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labeling, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain procedures, including conducting temperature checks and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Carry out stocking and downstocking tasks, secure product protection measures, and organize fixtures like modulars and flex modulars to keep the department fully stocked.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and sanitary workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Challenges and Physical Requirements

• Manage high task volumes efficiently, particularly during overnight shifts, by planning and maintaining energy and focus.
• Execute physically demanding duties, including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs., along with repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing tasks requiring attention to detail.

Compensation

The base salary for this position starts at $18.70 per hour.
