Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain the produce department's cleanliness, organization, and clear zoning to ensure it is always customer-ready.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired produce to uphold freshness and quality standards.
• Ensure all items have correct pricing and signage, managing ordering, clearances, markups, markdowns, labels, and signage correctly.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols including temperature monitoring, proper thermometer use, safe food handling practices, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and destock goods as necessary, apply product protection, and set up modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps to maintain full inventory.
• Follow all Health and Safety policies diligently to sustain a safe and clean workplace.
• Be adaptable in shift scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs and maintain seamless store operation and customer service.

Challenges of the Role

• Efficiently manage overnight shifts and prepare to maintain energy and focus.
• Handle fast-paced, high-volume restocking and recovery tasks accurately and promptly.
• Perform physically demanding work such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing with precision and consistency to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.20 per hour.
