Job Overview

The position of Warehouse Operative involves managing the accurate and efficient handling of parts stock arriving and leaving the warehouse, all while supporting excellent customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify incoming stock against delivery documents and confirm all parts include part numbers.
• Promptly report any inconsistencies with paperwork marked accordingly.
• Inspect incoming components for damage and document any defects.
• Store inbound parts in their correct locations, including stock items and customer orders.
• Rapidly and accurately pick orders for dispatch to customers.
• Pre-pick parts for workshops and maintain tidy shelves.
• Obtain authorized signatures, receipts, or payments for all parts issued via the trade counter.
• Support regular stock audits to reconcile physical inventory with computerized records.
• Position high-velocity parts in accessible locations to streamline picking processes.

Location, Hours, and Salary

The role is based at Matford Way, Exeter, working Monday through Friday. Salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications and discussed during the interview process.
