Procurement Consultant

Role Overview

This position will take charge of managing sub-consultant frameworks and the supplier base, while also aiding in the development of category strategies for sub-consultants and project sourcing activities. The focus is to ensure that frameworks are driven by performance metrics, align well with category strategies, and are embedded in consistent procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update sub-consultant frameworks to resonate with current market capabilities and organizational needs.
• Create and oversee supplier performance standards, establish refresh timelines, and define escalation protocols.
• Implement performance monitoring systems to leverage insights for supplier base enhancement and efficiency.
• Ensure active utilization of frameworks to minimize unauthorized sourcing and accelerate project mobilization.
• Detect capacity shortages, assess risks in capabilities, and find ways to optimize the supplier base.
• Assist in formulating clear in-house vs outsourcing guidelines.
• Deliver data-driven supply base analysis to support decision-making tools.
• Align category strategy contributions with framework architecture and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate across technical, commercial, and capacity-related teams to nurture category strategy.
• Support the establishment of mandatory sourcing procedures and audit-compliant documentation standards.
• Integrate frameworks seamlessly into standardized sourcing workflows.
• Provide insights to enhance sourcing quality and accountability.
• Help refine sourcing methods continuously based on feedback and lessons identified.
• Guide the use of ERP systems in all procurement activities.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, category, or supplier management roles.
• Proven track record managing supplier frameworks or preferred supplier panels.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing governance and audit frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supplier and performance data effectively.
• Fluent in ERP/SRM software such as SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills capable of managing cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
