About the Role

The Procurement Business Partner acts as a vital connector between procurement functions and the wider organisation. This role involves developing trusted relationships with various teams to understand their goals, translating these into effective procurement strategies, and leading sourcing efforts that maximize commercial value, mitigate risks, and align with organisational priorities. You will champion best procurement practices while supporting teams in achieving their objectives in a dynamic and critical operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing and nurturing trusted partnerships throughout the organisation to guide informed commercial choices that support team goals.
• Managing comprehensive sourcing and procurement projects across diverse categories, balancing commercial benefits, risk factors, and organisational directives.
• Identifying and capturing commercial opportunities that yield significant cost savings, service enhancements, or added business value.
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders to grasp business needs, challenge assumptions constructively, and uncover value maximization opportunities.
• Advancing procurement best practices and contributing to the effective execution of the organisation’s Procurement Strategy.
• Utilising spend data analytics, market insights, and data-driven evaluations to discover opportunities and back sound decision-making.
• Promoting a value-driven procurement culture focused on operational efficiency, improved supplier relationships, and sustainability objectives.
• Supporting contract and supplier management processes to ensure delivery meets expectations and aligns with organisational aims.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in strategic sourcing or end-to-end procurement with solid knowledge of commercial principles and value generation.
• Proven ability to independently lead procurement activities and sourcing projects, including stakeholder engagement, process management, and delivering outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building trust and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
• Adaptability, curiosity, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Resilience and confidence to challenge perspectives respectfully, influence decisions, and support stakeholders through change.
• Analytical aptitude for interpreting data, recognizing opportunities, and underpinning evidence-based decisions.
