Role Overview
The Procurement Assistant position supports various phases of the procurement cycle aimed at acquiring goods and services to back CRS programs serving marginalized populations. Key qualities include applying stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability to enhance procurement and purchasing operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist requisitioners in preparing detailed and full Purchase Requisition Forms.
- Support maintenance of procurement plans and tracking tools to ensure timely updates and efficient purchase order management.
- Help identify and vet trustworthy and reputable suppliers.
- Conduct site visits to suppliers’ facilities to gather information and aid due diligence.
- Execute purchases aligned with CRS procurement policies and documents such as Purchase Orders.
- Prepare accurate Payment Requests and maintain all supporting documentation to facilitate prompt vendor payments, including follow-ups to resolve discrepancies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent written communication ability.
- Familiarity with local market trends and conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, standard tools like Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated ethical conduct reflecting organizational codes of ethics.
- Customer-service oriented with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude with resourcefulness and solution-driven mindset.
Educational and Work Experience
- Minimum education: High school diploma.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- At least two years’ experience supporting procurement, purchasing, logistics, or administrative duties.
Additional Information
- English language proficiency required.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
- No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this role.

Terms and Conditions
