Role Overview

The Procurement and Logistics Officer is tasked with assisting procurement and logistics operations to guarantee the efficient and cost-effective acquisition, organization, and delivery of goods and services essential for company activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement operations by managing sourcing, supplier coordination, and generating purchase orders.
• Gather quotations, assess supplier offers, and help negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders using ERP or SAP systems.
• Keep supplier records updated and continuously monitor their performance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies within all procurement procedures.
• Manage logistics by coordinating transportation, shipping, and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Supervise incoming and outgoing shipments ensuring correct documentation is maintained.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and internal teams to streamline operations.
• Track shipments to confirm timely deliveries and resolve any logistics-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with import/export laws alongside company regulations.
• Support operational activities by coordinating between procurement and logistics functions, managing purchase requests, order processing, delivery monitoring, and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with internal departments and warehouse staff regarding material needs and delivery timelines.
• Maintain detailed procurement and logistics records and generate reports as necessary.
• Engage in team performance reviews including appraisals, KPI evaluation, and development planning within the department.
• Perform any additional duties assigned to meet departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related disciplines.
• Holding certifications such as CIPS, ISM CPSM, or CSCP is advantageous.
• Three to five years of experience in textile procurement, logistics, or supply chain roles.
