Job description
About STMicroelectronics
STMicroelectronics is a leading global semiconductor company dedicated to innovation and creating technology that positively influences people, businesses, and society. With over 50,000 employees representing more than 115 nationalities across 40 countries, we cherish collaboration, respect, passion, and a drive to innovate for a smarter and greener future in a sustainable manner.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer specialized in Photolithography to join our team in Singapore. This role involves operating and refining photolithography equipment, primarily the ASML i-Line Stepper Systems, by developing and optimizing process recipes such as focus, exposure dose, and alignment to ensure process stability and high yield.
Key Responsibilities
- Run and enhance photolithography processes, including routine monitoring, troubleshooting, tool qualification, SPC tracking, and defect analysis to maintain stable and reproducible results.
- Analyze process and measurement data for improvement opportunities, perform root-cause investigations, and execute corrective and preventive measures to boost yield, throughput, and process consistency.
- Support MEMS technology development by setting up and optimizing photolithography, screen printing, and bonding processes within semiconductor manufacturing.
- Maintain consistent process oversight and control, addressing issues as they arise with effective corrective actions.
- Document process parameters, experimentation, and outcomes thoroughly while preparing detailed technical reports and presentations for internal teams.
- Regularly update process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth integration of photolithography, screen printing, and bonding processes.
- Contribute actively in team meetings, providing problem-solving input and supporting shift engineers and technicians as needed.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, yield, and quality; identify opportunities for process automation and implement solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics/Applied Physics, Materials Science, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Solid understanding of photolithography or bonding principles in semiconductor processes. Familiarity with EKRA printing and bonding is an advantage.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
- Practical hands-on experience with photolithography equipment such as Track (DNS/TEL), Steppers (Canon/ASML), Aligners (EVG/SUSS), as well as Screen Printing (EKRA) and Bonding (EVG) equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively work within teams.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
