Principal/Staff Engineer - Dry Etch Tool Installation Qualification (TIQ)

As a Principal Engineer specializing in Dry Etch Tool Installation Qualification (TIQ) within the Operations Central Team (OCT), you will act as a domain expert collaborating with Micron fabs worldwide and supplier partners. Your role involves fostering a growth mindset, driving improvements in global TIQ engineering, implementing industry-leading methods, and achieving Best in Class (BIC) TIQ performance regarding cost and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Align short- and long-term cost objectives in Front End with corporate goals and lead cross-functional programs to meet these targets.
• Define program scope, goals, timelines, and resource needs collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Develop, refine, and apply core business processes, methodologies, and reporting tools.
• Work alongside project teams to clarify the business value and contribution of initiatives toward BIC plans.
• Regularly present program and project updates across functional divisions.
• Create and monitor strategic roadmaps focused on schedule and cost metrics aligned with BIC targets.
• Lead ongoing enhancement of TIQ business processes, continuous improvement projects, and best-known methods alignment.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet fab and corporate objectives throughout their lifecycle.
• Facilitate global peer groups to synchronize strategy and metrics that ensure accountability and continuous progress.
• Evaluate current TIQ performance across Micron sites, identify gaps, and drive improvement programs to achieve BIC benchmarks.
• Coordinate TIQ alignment with procedural updates driven by technical assessments and lessons learned.
• Implement continuous advancements in safety, capital expenditure, operational costs, equipment effectiveness, sustainability, technology introduction, and first-of-its-kind tool enablement.
• Enhance TIQ documentation including specifications, configurations, and process qualification data as required.
• Incorporate Artificial Intelligence and digital tools to boost operational efficiency, support data-driven decision-making, and accelerate outcomes.

AI-Specific Duties

• Integrate AI-enabled tools to improve daily workflows, maintaining sound judgment and compliance with organizational and legal standards.
• Promote a culture of innovation by exploring, testing, and sharing AI-enhancements within the scope of work.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years' experience with Dry Etch tool installation.
• Preferred experience in cost management practices.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Capability to responsibly apply digital fluency and AI literacy to utilize AI-enabled tools effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and business achievements.
