Role Overview

The Principal Solution Architect will guide technical strategy and engagement across Southeast Asia, helping enterprise and mid-market clients design secure, scalable architectures grounded in cloud and cybersecurity expertise. This regional leader will work closely with Sales, Channel, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to drive cloud migration, hybrid modernization, Zero Trust adoption, and AI-powered security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main regional technical consultant for strategic accounts in Southeast Asia.
• Ensure architectural consistency and solution strategy across multiple countries.
• Support local teams on complex or pivotal deals.
• Represent the company at industry events, executive briefings, and partner meetings.
• Lead technical discussions throughout the sales cycle, including architecture presentations and whiteboarding sessions.
• Understand clients' security postures and business goals, mapping solutions to product offerings.
• Manage cloud and security proof of concepts ensuring measurable outcomes.
• Design comprehensive security architectures across cloud, endpoints, networks, email, identity, and hybrid settings.
• Architect secure cloud-native and hybrid solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Implement Zero Trust principles, identity frameworks, segmentation, posture management, extended detection and response (XDR), and CNAPP best practices.
• Provide guidance on integrating third-party tools like SIEM, SOAR, IAM, and DevOps toolchains.
• Develop reference architectures, demos, and best-practice playbooks for regional deployment.
• Advise on cloud adoption, workload protection, container/Kubernetes security, and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Maintain expertise in cloud security technologies including CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, and advanced analytics.
• Stay updated on AI-driven security innovations, large language model automation, and emerging threats.
• Collaborate with cloud providers, MSSPs, GSIs, and regional partners to enable cloud expansion.
• Support partner development through technical workshops and joint activities.
• Provide product and engineering teams feedback on market trends and customer needs.
• Partner with customer success teams to facilitate smooth deployment and further adoption.
• Contribute to regional enablement and solution framework initiatives.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years’ experience in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, cloud architecture, or security consulting.
• Strong expertise in cybersecurity, including cloud security, endpoint, network security, SOC/XDR, or hybrid environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Proven experience designing secure enterprise or mid-market architectures.
• Ability to engage both executive leadership and technical stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent presentation, storytelling, and technical whiteboarding skills.
• Experience working across diverse countries or regional teams preferred.
• Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Experience with Trend Micro or competing cybersecurity solutions.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, XDR, SIEM frameworks.
• Familiarity working with MSSPs, GSIs, and cloud partners.
• Background in regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare, or government.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Leading executive workshops, cloud strategy sessions, and security assessment engagements.
• Familiarity with compliance standards including SOC2, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI, and HIPAA.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, CISSP, CCSP, or Kubernetes and DevSecOps credentials.
