Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, you will architect and execute automation testing strategies across diverse products, including web applications, HTML5/Web Canvas games, RESTful APIs, and various backend services. Your mission involves constructing and sustaining test automation frameworks tailored to product specifics and business goals. You will create automated tests encompassing UI, functional, regression, API, end-to-end, performance, and load testing while designing pragmatic performance testing scenarios to identify system bottlenecks.
Choosing the optimal testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies suited to various testing aims is essential. Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to continuously assure quality is a key part of this role. Close collaboration with Software Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps professionals, and Designers throughout the software development lifecycle is expected. Investigating issues in production and enhancing test coverage based on root cause analyses is critical. You will also drive ongoing improvements in test automation efficiency, coverage, and execution reliability. Additionally, mentoring junior QA engineers and fostering best practices in software quality engineering are important responsibilities.
Candidate Requirements
- More than six years of practical experience in software quality assurance automation and test engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in building automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous testing mechanisms from the ground up.
- Proficient programming skills in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go.
- Comprehensive understanding of contemporary software testing methodologies and automation design patterns.
- Hands-on experience testing web-based applications, REST APIs, and browser-interactive applications.
- Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI and GitHub Actions.
- Strong communication capabilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
