Pricing Analyst

About the Role

BGIS is seeking a detailed and commercially minded Pricing Analyst to join their Client Solutions Team in either Melbourne or Sydney. This full-time permanent position involves a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote. Key Responsibilities

• Create precise cost and pricing models for new bids and contract retenders across both hard and soft services.
• Develop pricing structures for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) operations.
• Construct financial models considering risks, service delivery frameworks, and contract terms.
• Engage directly with subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and use benchmarking techniques for cost comparison.
• Interpret complex tender documents into straightforward pricing deliverables.
• Work with internal teams to confirm cost data accuracy.
• Prepare pricing schedules, commercial replies, and other necessary tender documents.
• Analyze past data and market benchmarks to guide bid pricing decisions.
• Offer clear rationales for pricing assumptions during internal evaluations.
• Assist bid managers during commercial clarifications and negotiations after submissions.
• Deliver cost breakdowns and communicate pricing logic in meetings.
• Contribute to enhancing pricing and bidding capabilities within the company.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, specifically in creating pricing and financial models.
• Strong communication skills capable of explaining complex financial information to non-specialists.
• Confident interpersonal skills for engaging with subcontractors and market interactions.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with colleagues across different locations.
• Skilled in facilitation, negotiation, and producing clear documentation.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years experience in pricing, estimating, or comparable commercial roles (applications accepted from all experience levels).
• Experience within facilities management, property, construction, or service contract environments.
• Knowledge of data analytics tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with hard and soft service delivery models.
• Experience contributing to bids, tenders, or commercial proposal preparations.

Work Location and Benefits

The position is based either at the Melbourne office or the World Square office in Sydney, both situated in central business districts close to public transit and amenities. Following initial training, a hybrid work model applies with three days on-site and two days remote work. Occasional travel to client sites and other company locations within Melbourne and Sydney is required.
