Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator for a secure, long-term position in a modern fabrication environment. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work and take pride in producing precise, high-quality metal components. The focus is on quality, safety, and teamwork within a growing manufacturing team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machinery to accurately bend and form sheet metal parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, job cards, and production schedules to guide operations.
• Select and load the correct tooling and materials for each job.
• Prepare, configure, and adjust machines in accordance with job requirements.
• Measure, align, and secure materials precisely for bending tasks.
• Conduct initial and ongoing quality inspections during production.
• Evaluate finished components to ensure they meet stringent quality and accuracy standards.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment to maintain optimal function.
• Keep the workspace clean, safe, and well-organized.
• Collaborate closely with fabrication and production teams to achieve production goals.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience operating press brake machinery within a fabrication or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Sound knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and bending processes.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
• Positive, flexible attitude combined with strong team collaboration skills.

Desirable Additional Experience

• Competence in tooling selection and press brake setup.
• Familiarity with quality and inspection standards in manufacturing.
• Previous experience working within a fabrication department.
